I think they came up to our level and it was very even, plus we lacked a little intensity.

Shelled 8 points with the boot too.

Should have bought the Beaver on sooner!slugsohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13075630483890180127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319764576348149903.post-86967714173466456962011-10-26T09:04:05.121+13:002011-10-26T09:04:05.121+13:00Thanks for the awesome post Slugso. I was at the game in '99 against France and that was a true capitulation. I think I am one of the few people in the world who thinks it was a very even game and that France didn't do enough to win. One moment of madness from Weepu let them into the game, but until then and for much of after that the ball stayed pretty much around the halfway line regardless of who was in possession.

It was such a relief to win at last. Something that better teams than this one were unable to do and so many upsets and terrible bad luck over the years since '87. Did you cry?davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15331829367058949248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319764576348149903.post-75613309861301965002011-10-26T04:41:35.697+13:002011-10-26T04:41:35.697+13:00Great stuff, Lu. You should make a poster of the stadium shot.

I think it's shitty that the IRB fined France for their facedown of the Haka. I love the sport of rugby, but the IRB can kiss my ass.

Once again, had a great time in Kiwi-land, glad that the missus and I were able to meet you and your bride. It must feel great to get that Gorilla off your back.Nursedudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07841605014910203222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2319764576348149903.post-60552298124835970262011-10-25T20:58:10.641+13:002011-10-25T20:58:10.641+13:00Hi Guys

Great final reports from both of you - summed up so well all my anxiety, pride, fear and confidence during the game. From the moment I saw the French advance I knew it was going to be an epic match and it certainly didn't disappoint. So much to say about the whole competition.... but basically, *phew*. Oh and also a heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Richie, Ted and the boys. Life has certainly seemed a little brighter since Sunday night.

Cheers for the coverage, looking forward to more.
p.s. your graphs are noes plastered all over my workplace (betting agency) and made for some hot points of discussion!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
