Wow

Australia 28 - NZ 49
  • NZ - seven tries and another bonus point
  • Australia - three tries
  • Two yellows and a red card to Oz (naughty Drew Mitchell)
  • One yellow to NZ (Owen Franks)
  • An overly pedantic referee
  • Ozzies coming to life when they're down to 14 men
  • Cory Jane's little kick chip across to Mils Muliaina for a try
  • Richie McCaw everywhere and man of the match again
  • Joe Rokocoko is back
  • Etihad stadium turf was a bit of a disaster
  • Is Kieran Read the new Zinny?
  • Robbie Deans is depressed
  • Even people in the Christchurch press are eating their words about Ted
  • I'm still not writing off the Wallabies just yet
But
  • The All Blacks are looking good
  • All is right with the NZ rugby world in this moment in time
  • Signing off from a beautiful rainforest in Northern NSW

A barnstormer of a victory, and I don't think we played to our absolute best. Aussie did well to hold onto possession in the second half, but it must have ripped them a new one when they spend 10 minutes hammering our line to score a try and then we go straight from the kick off and score.
God I hope we can keep this up!

Awesome, eh. Surely not at our peak yet? Brad Thorn impossibly keeps getting better, and he is always there with a hug for the try scorer. Class.

It was a great match - funny how both teams played better when they were down a man.

I like the humour in your blog - it's always good to hear from the opposition too (as an All Black supporter and not as a lady!)

I was hoping you might add a link to my blog? you are on mine already.

This is almost like having the honeymoon before the wedding, given how well the All Blacks are playing a little over a year before RWC 2011 kicks off in Kiwi-Land.

Great to hear from you guys. But why does this always happen to us one year out from the big one?

I think we just don't talk about the world cup at all. Including the media. What world cup? What are you talking about?? Honestly what more can we expect, would we want to be playing like the wallabies and the springboks one year out from a world cup??

I don't want to be critical - but how many other countries out there get worried when their team plays really well?
