I thought the Manawatu stadium looked amazing. I watched the first half this morning before carting myself onto a Tube for work. The national anthems of both countrys were spine tingling - there's nothing like watching big burly men crying to music. I even had a couple of friends in the choir. This RWC is so special - the real time watching as I'm eating my toast and drinking my coffee, knowing that people on the other side of the world are sharing this moment with me in the stadium or watching their television sets.

I sit next to a Romanian girl at work and she was very adamanat that handball is romania's game now. They used to be good at rugby but not so much anymore. Why? (still very good at gymnastics though...now that's a sport if ever I saw one).

Well done to Georgia, and well done to Romania. It was great to see such a big crowd at the game, supporting two teams that were very passionate.
